The injury was sustained during team activities at OTAs.Patterson was taken with the 246th pick of the draft, and was one of two offensive lineman selected in the final round. The 21 year old started all of his last three seasons at Ole Miss, and had 42 career starts across all three interior positions.While the Colts essentially have their starting line intact for the 2019 season, Patterson was in the mix to make the roster as a backup along the inside of the offensive line. He’ll now have to wait until 2020 to get his next shot.
UPDATE (5:13 p.m.) | The Colts have placed Patterson on IR and have signed guard Nico SiragusaThe former fourth-round pick from the 2017 NFL Draft spent his entire rookie season on the Baltimore Ravens’ Injured Reserve list. He spent the first 14 weeks of 2018 on the Ravens’ practice squad before being signed to the Packers’ 53-man roster for the final three weeks of the season. Siragusa has yet to see action in a regular-season game. Clayton Geathers could have gone elsewhere. He visited Tampa and Dallas, but in the end, the safety decided to return to Indianapolis for some “unfinished business.”Geathers, 26, signed a one-year deal with the Colts.Geathers started 12 games for the Colts last year and was a team captain
