The ex-Manchester City forward Darren Huckerby is now a member of the San Jose Earthquakes after signing an 18-month deal. The former has earlier discarded an offer laid down by Toronto FC. Huckerby will be joining his teammates the following week.
The only thing Huckerby is waiting riley reid and rudy gobert right now is his work permit before he can start playing. Phil Smith, Huckerby's agent, reiterated that his man is very fit and is ready for action once his papers were released and confirmed.
Huckerby said in an interview that it doesn't mean that he don't like Toronto FC, he just liked the idea of playing with a totally different environment with players he didn't know much. He further noted that it is a bunch of a challenge for his career right now because as of the moment, his new team is on the tail list in the Western rank. The San Jose Earthquakes claimed no victory during their previous five bouts resulting in the low ranking of the team.
Huckerby is an ex-Newcastle and Coventry forward.
Whatever his career outcome is, Huckerby seems sure of his decision in joining San Jose Earthquakes. If he wanted challenge through a totally different environment and totally different teammates, at least he has proven to himself that he was just a few steps away from proving to himself what he wanted.
