BOSTON - The Boston Red Sox can at least be excited about their young players going into next year.Rusney Castillo and Christian Vazquez each hit his first major league homer, and Allen Webster pitched seven solid innings to carry the Red Sox to an 11-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday night.Vazquez finished with a career-best four hits and drove in three runs, and another rookie, Mookie Betts, had three of Bostons 16 hits. The Red Sox won for the fourth time in six games.Weve got a lot young guys coming up and everybodys really good, said Webster, who joined the rotation on July 27. Its looking good going forward.Castillo, a Cuban outfielder who signed with Boston in August and was promoted from the minors on Sept. 16, collected his first two hits in Fenway Park.A lot of very good at-bats, particularly at the bottom of the order and Mookie at the top, Boston manager John Farrell said.Evan Longoria had two singles for the Rays, who lost for the fifth time in seven games.Give them credit, Rays manager Joe Maddon said. They totally beat us up tonight.Webster (5-3) was charged with one run and seven hits in his best start since he joined the rotation. The 24-year old rookie right-hander struck out five and walked one.Leading 3-1 in the third, the Red Sox broke it open by scoring four times while chasing Jeremy Hellickson (1-5).Yoenis Cespedes and Allen Craig had one-out singles before Garin Cecchini reached on first baseman James Loneys error, with Cespedes scoring on the play. Steve Geltz then came in and Castillo drove the relievers first pitch into the front row of Green Monster seats for a three-run shot.Hellickson lasted just 2 1-3 innings, getting tagged for six runs a€” five earned a€” and eight hits.I feel like I had better stuff, he said. Obviously the numbers are really bad, but I dont think I made that many bad pitches.Vazquezs two-run homer bounced off a billboard above the Monster, lifting the Red Sox to a 3-1 lead in the second. The ball was picked up by a ball girl, handed to a security guard and given to Red Sox third base coach Brian Butterfield.I want to take the ball back for my family, said Vazquez, who was glad it didnt clear the Monster and leave the park completely.Daniel Navas sacrifice fly gave Boston a 1-0 edge in the first before Ben Zobrists RBI single in the second tied it.ROOKIE HOME RUN RECORDVazquez and Castillo became the seventh and eighth Red Sox rookies to homer this season, establishing a club record. They had seven in three previous seasons, the last in 1996.YOUNG AT HEARTThe Red Sox have played 19 rookies this season, tied with Arizona for most in the majors. Its the fourth-most rookies in Bostons history behind 25 in 1911, 22 in 25 and 21 in 26.TRAINERS ROOMRays: Maddon said SS Yunel Escobar, who sprained his left knee Tuesday and was sent to Florida for an MRI, only has a bruise, but hes done for the remainder of the season because the MRI was bad enough that he cant play anymore.Red Sox: DH David Ortiz missed his second straight game with a sore left wrist and Farrell said the team would learn toward shutting him down, but at the same time if he feels good to go, were certainly not going to hold him out. Ortiz said after the game that he didnt think hed play this weekend. The doctor told me the other day take it day by day, but itll probably take a week at least to go back to normal, he said. ... Farrell also said INF/OF Brock Holt, out with a concussion since Sept. 5, would probably not play again. ... 3B Will Middlebrooks missed his third straight game with a sprained right hand. Its been a rough year, he said of his season between injuries, a .191 average and shuttling up and down from Triple-A.UP NEXTThe Rays are slated to open a three-game series Friday in Cleveland with RHP Chris Archer (10-8, 3.42 ERA) facing Indians RHP Corey Kluber (17-9, 2.53 ERA). The Red Sox face the Yankees for the final three games of the season, starting Friday. RHP Steven Wright (0-0, 3.38 ERA) makes his first start of the season for Boston. Former Red Sox LHP Chris Capuano (2-4, 4.67 ERA) is scheduled to go for New York.ALL-STAR SERIES REPLACEMENTFarrell was selected to manage the major league team in the All-Star series in Japan, replacing former Texas manager Ron Washington, who resigned from his job with the Rangers in early September. The major league stars will face Japans national team in a five-game series. Avonte Maddox Jersey . The 24-year-old Raley was 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA for Chicago in his first two career starts after being called up from Iowa on Aug. 7. He was optioned to Iowa on Monday after losing 3-0 to Cincinnati in Chicago on Sunday. Paul Worrilow Jersey . In the opener of the World Group first-round series, world No. 18 Kei Nishikori defeated Peter Polansky of Thornhill, Ont. http://www.authenticfootballshopeagles.com/authentic-michael-bennett-jersey.html. The CFL club is making the move after holding its camp and regular-season practices at the University of Toronto campus in Mississauga, Ont. Markus Wheaton Eagles Jersey . Bostons bats exploded in Mondays opener, as David Ortiz belted a pair of two-run homers, Stephen Drew homered and drove in four runs and the Red Sox pummeled the Blue Jays, 14-1. Michael Bennett Eagles Jersey . -- Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton will be sidelined for at least two weeks because of a strained calf muscle, and pitcher C.WASHINGTON -- Al Jefferson had 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Gerald Henderson went 6 for 9 in his return from a calf injury Wednesday night to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 98-85 win over the Washington Wizards. Henderson finished with 13 points, and Kemba Walkers 16 points included four consecutive free throws during a late fourth-quarter run for the Bobcats, who have won four of five and sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. John Wall scored 23 points to lead the Wizards, but he went scoreless in the fourth and received little help from his teammates. Washington had won eight of its previous 10 and began the day in fifth, one-half game ahead of the Brooklyn Nets. Bobcats-Wizards late in the season is usually more about pingpong balls than playoffs, but Washington is closing in on its first post-season berth since 2008 and Charlotte is nearly there for the first time since 2010. Fittingly, they were evenly matched, a good sign for their two meetings yet to come on March 31 and April 9. Neither team led by more than six until Wall fouled Walker while Walker was attempting a 3-pointer with 4:34 to play. Walker was awarded three free throws, and Washington coach Randy Wittman was called for a technical foul after the second attempt. Walker made the technical, then made the last of his quartet of free throws to put the Bobcats ahead 87-80. Wall compounded matters for the Wizards by missing two free throws a half-minute later. Walker then hit a hang-in-the-air 3--pointer with the shot clock running down to make it a 10-point lead.dddddddddddd The Bobcats closed the game with a 15-5 run. Henderson missed the previous five games with a strained right calf, and his return -- while welcome -- had potential chemistry issues to the point where coach Steve Clifford called a pregame team meeting to address players roles going forward. Henderson would start against the Wizards, Clifford told the team, but Chris Douglas-Roberts would continue to get substantial playing time based on matchups against certain opponents. Douglas-Roberts had played well in Hendersons absence, scoring in double figures in four of five games. Douglas-Roberts played 21 minutes off the bench Wednesday night and scored 10 points. Henderson, meanwhile, looked plenty healthy when he exploded for a one-handed jam in the first quarter. Wall had the only sure hand for the Wizards. He went 10 for 19 from the field, while everyone else was 25 for 63. Perhaps a sign of Wall trying too hard: He got reckless trying for one-handed driving dunk late in the third quarter and was called for a charge as he crashed onto the floor. Notes: Bobcats G Gary Neal, acquired last month in a trade, did not play due to "an internal team matter," according to an announcement by the team. ... Charlotte committed only two fouls in the first half. ... Both teams shot 20 for 43 (46.5 per cent) in the first half. ... The Bobcats improved to 2-8 against Southeast Division opponents. Your notion is outstanding; the pain is an element that not enough folks are speaking intelligently about. My business is happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something regarding this. https://lapolveredimorandi.com/
