The Florida Panthers have locked up impending restricted free agent Nick Bjugstad. The Panthers signed the 22-year-old to a six-year, $24.6 million contract extension on Tuesday night. The deal was officially announced on Wednesday. In 34 games with the Panthers this season, Bjugstad has 13 goals and eight assists.
