FALL RIVER, Mass. -- A court appearance in Massachusetts by an associate of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez who has been charged as an accessory to murder has been delayed. A hearing for Carlos Ortiz in Fall River Superior Court scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled for Jan. 9. His attorney says he received a large amount of evidence from prosecutors and wants to go through it. Ortiz has pleaded not guilty to accessory after the fact and is being held on $500,000 cash bail. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating the sister of Hernandezs girlfriend.
