I’m beginning to wonder if Pharrell puts any effort into his Adidas Stan Smith Women collaborations with adidas Originals, maybe I just don’t “get” his creative genius, but it feels like he’s not really trying that hard. Following his Polka Dot Pack, the newest Pharrell Williams x adidas Originals collection is this Big Dot Pack, which is about as exciting and paradigm-shifting as the name suggests.
That Concepts x adidas project that was promised is of the Adidas Stan Smith Men persuasion. The Boston shop just dropped off their first view of the shoes, which shows off the back end and a bit of the jacquard flavor of the upper. The first teaser shot also comes with a release date – you’ll be able to find these at the boutique in question come October 25th, 2014.
Pharrell Williams and adidas Originals have emerged from the candy lab again with a fresh swag of sneaks and gear to cap off the year. Bright colours are the focal point again, just like the previous delivery, but instead of block-coloured fluro joints, Pharrell shows an affinity for polka dots this time, both big and small. A bunch of Adidas Stan Smith for sale and track jackets are all splashed with circles contrasting against vibrant base colours.
The revival of the Adidas Stan Smith Discount this year led to a string of awesome colabs in 2014, but we never would’ve imagined this collaboration in the works! Now that it’s actually happening, it seems like such a no brainer for American Dad’s Stan Smith to release his own Adidas Stan Smith Cheap model in a move of cross-branding genius. The shoe keeps to the original; with the classic smooth grain leather atop the simple white rubber sole, but updates on the tongue logo and insoles that feature the popular cartoon character completes the tongue-in-cheek colab.
