Omega has released two limited models for the Olympic Games in Japan
The official timekeeper of the Olympics since 1932 - the company Omega - has released two 2020-limited models for the 2020 Games.
For the Tokyo Olympics, Omega has prepared a Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 Limited Edition watch with a ceramic dial that first appears in the collection. The pattern on it repeats the ornament of the emblem of the Games in Japan. The 41-mm watch case is made of steel, and sapphire crystal was used for the back case. It allows you to consider the mechanism of the Omega Master Chronometer Caliber 8900. The watch case is complemented by a blue rubber strap, but the kit also includes a steel bracelet.
The second Olympic novelty is Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Tokyo 2020 Limited Edition in a steel case with a diameter of 39.5 mm. It combines a white ceramic welt with a diving scale from Omega Liquidmetal with a highlighted red number 20 (a reminder of the year of the Games).
The flag of Japan inspired designers to design a central second hand with a red dot at the end. The heart of the watch is the Omega Master Chronometer Caliber 8800 movement.
The watch is presented on a steel bracelet, white leather or NATO-strap. Why does the astronaut need a watch?
On Earth, watches are important to us. They measure time.
But what if you find yourself in space?
How is the time going there?
Do you need a watch at all to keep track of time in space?
